It has a duel visor thingy that has a tinted part that can be removed.

All of the interior can be removed and is fully machine washable.

Bee's dick under $400.

But I am not sure you need something like this for the "occasional track day".

The Nolan is not too bad, it does not feel that heavy cos' it is pretty well balanced.
It does get a little on the heavy side once the Comm's gear and Tomtom go in there, but don't have it installed all the time. I use this one mainly for cruises.
I have had flips before and have not liked them a lot, only reason I went for this cos' I was given one to try for a few months.

For zipping around town or a squirt out the road I have a light weight full face job I use.
Have eaten too many bugs to go back to an open face ever again.

i have the non flip version of this. the tinted part would be next to useless in a car.

they're also noisy, but that's not going to matter in a car.

in the car i use a shoei with an iridium visor.

Do some research and see if you would be happier in a SNELL rated helmet. It is DOT rated + meets SNELL standards as well. To boil it right down i took the DOT + SNELL rated helmet because the DOT one is good for one hit, the SNELL one is good for multiple hits. This is handy on the bike where you might tumble off and wack your head a few times before sliding to a stop. I guess in a car as well where you may roll and slam your head about a bit before coming to a stop.

IIRC the snell helmet can be dropped from 10ft with a weight inside to simulate a human head, then be picked up and dropped again from the same height a few times before the structure is compromised. DOT *may* protect you after more than one hit but a SNELL says for sure it will.

Then when you've decided that you can pick fiberglass VS plastic coating. Supposedly the fiberglass breaks faster and lets the foam do its thing much quicker.

The downside is that the foam is harder so for small knocks you may get more of a headache but for big hits you will be better off.

I'd like to know how many people weigh as much as a human head and fall over from 10 feet.
