The thing to remember when you do start it in gear and drive off. Is that you can't stop with the engine running. Just remember that if you ever need to try it.  :scared:

Rubbish, ya just pull it out of gear!!!

i limped a truck about 2km back to site when the throttle cable went.... just feathering the clutch.
probably not too good for it, but it was a rental.

You usually need 1st to crank, starter usually not strong enough for 2nd or higher.

The 2nd or 3rd gear tip applies to bump starting, not clutchless driving.

You can badly damage the starter motor if you get it wrong, either burn it electrically, or flog the spindle bush/bearings out.

Rubbish, ya just pull it out of gear!!!   

 :faint: I suppose that'd work. I clumsily stalled the engine, turned it around to got it back to it's home without stopping :doh:
