Have you ridden a horse, Rob?

lol....I actually thought the analogy of the feel of steering an old car and the reins on a horse was very good.

I know you have ridden ,as i have on my grandmothers property.
I was taught to have  loose reins when walking the horse and firmer reins as the horse was asked to trot, canter, gallop ect.
In the video, David was suggesting when driving an older car, loose grip and let it move to the road surface,as one does,as per the same when riding (walking) a horse?

Why did you ask if I'd ridden a horse?

Because I was wondering if you knew what a great analogy it is, or if you were simply quoting something you read.

No its in the video ,David the other driver mentions it.

he makes a few comments that may offend some on the site.like.

Old cars have soul and are not stamped out in a production line and or where ever a classic goes ,people wave and smile where as with a modern supercar car ,people just go,there's another rich bastard showing off.
Pretty general comment? Not one that is always true either.

I get plenty of friendly waves and smiles and thumbs up. Being resentful must be a Pommy thing.
