Hang on, how far away from the Zone change are they???

There are rules about this, if they are too close to the change then they are in the wrong spot.

Maybe they are not working yet and are waiting for the temporary speed limit to go back to 100......

the inbound one is in the 100 section just before it goes to 80, I assume they would be doing a bit of testing before there activated.

The 80 zone may have been in place while they installed them and it will go back to 100 once finished. Sometimes I even laugh at what I type.

A reliable VicRoads source told me it's never going back to 100kph.

I usually slow down at the High St overpass due to the frequent presence of highway patrol on the on ramp.

But I reckon those cameras will get heaps of people.

I just went into the city and back.  Both are in the 100 zone so no real complaints here.  Initially the way it was explained I thought they were in the 80 zone.  They are before the High St overpass on the way in and past on the way out.

Both front and rear cameras too which is interesting.  A quick google hasn't found anything as yet.

The govt loves political spin telling you how good it is in road safety.
The truth of speed cameras is about revenue, plain and simple
under the disguise of road safety. At a matter of fact the govt
inquire how much more revenue can be raised by doubling the
amount of speed cameras. The motorist is a cash cow that keep
paying and the govt is counting the money in next years budget.

If this is not about revenue raising as we are told by our honest govt
donate 1 months revenue the Royal Children Hospital...
Then tell us it not about revenue.

In finishing comment I would love a speed camera as my cash
register...

Well double demerits started in nsw today,   I was doing about 90 in an 80 zone, a Toyota hilux slowly overtook me (probably only doing another 3 or 4kph faster than me, we both saw the bright red highway patrol car at the same time, quickly dropped back to 75kph, then the longest 2 minutes of anticipation went past until he lit up the hilux...   Fucking double demerits!!!
You can say I'm wrong, but my garage doesn't agree with that statement!!!
