I've enjoyed everyone else's pics on AE for a few years now without posting my own, so here's my little collection from a recent trip to Europe.

First stop was London, and as always the Dorchester did not disappoint...

Image

Image

My first driving experience in Europe came when we picked up a Golf to drive from Montpelier to Monaco via Nice.  Driving on the wrong side of the road was easier than expected, although driving in Monaco was an experience.  None the less I still drove the track, which as a massive F1 fan was pretty cool.

Checking into the hotel we ran into Mick Doohan.  He was a really nice guy and stayed chatting with us for a few minutes.  I promise this is the only photo I appear in...

Image

After dropping the car at the hotel we walked back to the casino and stumbled upon this...

Image

Image

And this parked behind it...

Image

Image

Another nice little group...

Image

These don't really count since they were at a dealership, but I liked them...

Image

This old UK registered Bentley was parked out the front of our hotel.  I can imagine touring around Europe in something like this when I'm 60+...

Image

After a few more stops we ended up in Rome.  Not much in the way of exotics, but this Lotus police car was pretty cool...

Image

I also saw this little 500 in Rome.  Nothing special, but looked cool with the old Roma plate...

Image

Another few stops later we picked up another hire car in Florence.  From there it was off to the Museo Ferrari.

I have a million picks from the museum, but here's a few of my favourites...

Image

Image

This would have to be my favourite.  So cool to see old grand prix machinery like this...

Image

A few more contemporary cars...

Image

Image

Image

There was a Gilles Villenuve display on whilst we were at the museum...

Image

Fairly unexciting compared to his racing exploits, but it does add to the legend...

Image

After the museum it was time for the factory and Fiorano track tour.  It was very, very, very cool, but sadly Ferrari don't allow any pictures...

Image

The famous gates...

Image

Back to Modena to visit the Enzo Ferrari museum.  Lots of really cool cars here...

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

After leaving Maranello and Modena behind we drove the hire car to Imola...

Image

The Senna memorial at Imola.  I donít really have any words for these...

Image

Image

Walking around the near-empty track it was hard to imagine what that weekend in í94 must have been like for the people there.  I had a pretty hollow feeling whilst walking around.  It was pretty sad place

Another tribute at the main grandstand...

Image

But the track wasnít completely quiet.  This M6 was banging in some quick laps, along with a couple of stickered-up M3s...

Image

Spotted this gold Panamera in Prague...

Image

In Germany we picked up an A6 hire car and hit the autobahn.  We did around 700km worth of driving in Germany, with much of that spent on the autobahn.

Cruising speed crept up with each day of driving, starting at 130kph average on the first day through to 170kph average on the last day with a quick spike up to 210kph.

Itís remarkable how normal it feels sitting at a constant 170kph on those roads in this car...

Image

And one final pic.  Driving through the south of Germany we came across these three Jags (I assume?) cruising along together.  Life looked pretty tough for them!

Image

And thatís it. :)

Great pics! I'm dying to get back to Europe for a holiday, but I don't see this happening anytime soon!  :waah:
