Apparently an ex employee of mine said he was bound by a Shannons policy that excluded Putty Road between a certain section of the stretch and he was not allowed to drive RNP at night. Probably was made up as he was fired for stealing stock and denied it all the way even when caught

I found it strange as well as I am young and in the insurance eyes i'm a greater risk, although this guy had been banned previously for 11 or 12 years and apparently had to pay a fine of $11 or $12k, he paid it in monthly installments... Repeated speeding and driving without a valid license...

Don't crucify the messenger  :D

Also thought it strange when I was involved with getting a car club cruise along the same road a CAMS insurance and permit as it was a club organised cruise. Although this cruise was 2 years earlier than when this guy told me his "situation"...

IIRC most policies are void above the snow line? or is that an urban myth? I was told this when hiring a car.
Jon
I often see the hire car policy does not cover use on dirt roads.

I'm surprised how fast the M3 CSL is, and how slow the LP 670 is.
