Anyone know what the fire extinguisher regs are for Thoroughbred Touring?  One or two required?

Any other stuff needed to be fitted?

Edit:  Found it.  2x1kg or 1x2 kg.

They also recommend a HANS device - recommend only this year and compulsory in 2009 for TT.  How do you fit a HANS device to a road car?

Anyway, who is going in CA this year?

a HANS device sits on your shoulders and attaches to your helmet. nothing to fit to the car.

There was a thread on this a while back - but that was before I bothered much to keep things on topic so it's pretty useless.

This be the new official 2008 Classic Adelaide thread, hurrah! happy

Any insights into what you might be taking - or is it a "last minute" thing?

Doesn't it have to fit to the car or seats?  I mean, what's the point of a restraint - if it's anchor is you?

edit:  ok - never really looked into the details of it before, interesting!

---> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HANS_device

Quote
It is attached only to the helmet -- and not to the belts, driver's body, or seat -— by two anchors on either side, much like the Hutchens device but placed slightly back. The seat belts that cross the driver's upper-body are properly installed so that the belts go right over the HANS device, on the driver's shoulder, and buckle into the center of the driver's stomach. Therefore, the HANS device is secured with the body of the driver, not the seat.

Yeah - see edit ^^^ - really never knew that, from just the footage/pics you see it just seems like something that's part of the seat - but I've never given it any real though beyond that to think it through.

Most likely the 911 -  Nav John and I don't fit in the Lambo with helmets on.  It will be a last minute call though whether we enter or not.

It would a laugh to turn up in the S65 - I'm amazed how fast you can drive it for such a bit car - but it would make a bit of a mockery of the event.

It relies on having full harness to operate correctly... so your cage, Harness/belts and harness attachment points and seat must be HANS compatible. Many are not.

Kinda like a condom with holes in it then (just bringing it to a level *I* can comprehend cheeky )
