Gents/fellow car enthusiasts,

Could I get an expression of interest - I've been corresponding with Todd of Octagon  - re : car clubs participating in drives on closed Targa Adelaide roads - non-competition, no roll cage needed and cost is $4500 for 10 vehicles to drive for one day - day TBA.

Any of you interested? If so, can you please get back to me by the end of this week so as I can field an entry! We may well have to "set up" a club - eg, Aussie Exotics club!! :-)

Won't you need the club to be CAMS accredited?

hmm  - good point - might have to use the BMWDCSA which has CAMS accreditation. I have fielded the question of filling spots with other non-BMW cars and they don't seem to have a problem with it!

what would be the date?
What does it include:
 The opportunity to drive the exciting new Intercontinental Targa Night Stage in front of thousands of people and participate in the Expo at the Wayville Showground’s on Wednesday the 22 of August.
 One full day of touring out on course on Saturday the 25 August.
 Car club display on Gouger Street from 1pm on Sunday the 26 August.
 A Finishers momento presented at Gouger Street, competition door panels and vinyl plates.

Also - Todd just confirmed - need CAMS L2S license for all drivers which is easy to obtain by ringing CAMS!

I'm locked in with the Jag Club, same day.

Should be a good day/night . I'm looking forward to using both sides of the road for the first time . :drive:

Cams Level 2 Speed licence is $105, but you need to be a member of a CAMS affiliated club.

Seems like a great initiative by the Targa people to get more people involve, plus hopefully lure out some more classics and exotics.
