You going to do a drive by Al on Sunday morning?

50/50 - may take my youngun out for a run and a pie at Harry's.
C'mon, do it!

Back to the event though, I quite enjoyed it, caught up with friends across all other car marques not just Lotus. Breakfast was 'ok'. Seemed well organised.

I think the $120 cost for 1 car and 2 people's breakfast when you think of the food, charge by the wharf owners to use their private property, insurances, and paying everyone as I'm sure they aren't ALL volunteers, the over all cost I think was reasonable. $80-100 as a paying punter I would have thought was bang on the mark.

I was disappointed in the lack of older sports and super cars though, particularly for me as I'm becoming less interested in the 'latest and greatest models, I'm becoming more interested in classics and future classics.
Kind Regards

150 cars apparently. Plenty of people.

Yeah ... I don't think there were 150 cars ... I struggled to count 50-60 in all the photos I saw ... but whatever!  I think to justify the money, there has to be an "event" for the owners, something substantially more than an ok breakfast or an inner city drive ... but that's a different type of event all together.

Good luck to them and their pursuit of automobile passion ... it's just not my type of event.

For C&C to work properly, it needs to be by invitation or have some other way of keeping the good stuff in one spot.

Australia doesn't have the caliber of cars to do that or the cars cant be driven there.

I went and counted 120 cars there.

What I found was that a lot of Lamborghini's and Ferrari's were not there like last time.

The lack of Aventadors was evident not counting the organiser's yellow 50th anniversary one.

There were 3 x Hurracan, 1 x Gallardo, 2 x Aventador, 1 x Murci.

There were 2 x Ferrari California, 2 x 488, 1 x 458, 1 x F430.

1 x scud on the street lol.

When talking with a few that paid the $120 they all thought it was to steep for the event and also said that many of their friends did not go for this reason.

I suppose if you have set this event up to make money then fair enough but try and do something with the cost.

For example $30 to enter car for space. $60 for breakfast included. Maybe also instead of making money from owners with very special cars donate the profits after all outgoings to a charity.

Now isn't that a great idea!!!!

Sometimes it shouldn't be about the money in life you can make.
