I think everyone loves it because its a great overall "sporty" package for the money. I can see how you could have quite a bit of cheap fun in the car.

With tyres and brakes (so about 40k spent) it can do a 1:09 at Wakefield. The STi version should be the model to grab when it's finally released. What are you going to look at instead of the 86?

A used late model WRX for half the money, then invest the money thats left and save for an exotic.

The thought had crossed my mind, I do like calais's car , but I think I'll take a good look around and see what takes my fancy. I would prefer to buy something that's a couple of years old.

If the 86 plus options is your price point you'd be silly not to at least test drive the WRX. It's tough to bet plus has the practicality of a daily driver / 4 door sedan. Depends on whether you're a dedicated rear wheeler or open to some AWD traction.

I think it is a 59, the 58 had louvres on the bonnet but the same shape.
Thanks. When I have a bigger garage a few a spare $, I want one of those.

saw that too! He's asking price seems realistic compared to others advertised but given what others have been saying about what wholesale prices might be........ :scratchchin:
