Do we have a convoy route or just meet at Whalers?

Whatever people want.  There are some fun roads that eventually end up in Victor.  It would be a shame to miss them.

How about we regroup on Hutt Road, in the park lands and then travel with the convoy to Belair. They don't check the car stickers at Belair so you can just drive in. From there we can hit the road prior to the main fleet and disappear.

I've done the trip probably 30-40 times this year.

The coast road is probably best for a convoy. If you want to add an extra ~45 mins to the drive then go via Delamere (near Cape Jervois) as those are some of the best roads I've encountered in a long time.

The most direct route with the least traffic and most safe overtaking opportunities is this one: http://goo.gl/maps/AX6DA - it adds about 15-20km to the trip but cuts about half an hour because not clamoring through the southern 'burbs.

Let's discuss route options somewhere else.

The main thing to consider is the heavy traffic at that time of day. There are a couple of quieter routes we could look at.

basically its a pretty direct trip from adelaide to belair.... the only route we need to plan is from there to lunch. this can all be decided by mhh or tour leader and informed to us on the day

for those of you who have parked in vic park by the sausage sizzle in the morning, do you just drive in the reverse way or what?
