Hi all. As a first post I had to get this approved by the moderator - check! :)

I'd like to extend an official invite to the forum to attend a Coffee & Cars event. Held on the fourth Sunday of every month in the run up to Christmas, these coffee mornings are a no cost/ no sales function. Blue Sky Coffee are our hosts and we would love to see as many people passionate about their vehicle as possible. There is plenty of parking and of course great coffee!

Do contact me if you have any questions and event feedback is welcomed.

More details including address and times can be found here http://www.coffeeandcars.com.au/

I can't believe its taken so long in Australia to get one of these going.

Anyone in Adelaide want to organise one?

Youre it! Dead easy and I'll walk you through it if need be. I imagine the C&C website listing all coffee events going on eventually...

I borrowed the concept from our Irvine california friends early last year. Numbers steadily increased so it is something lacking out there. No membership, no fees - so long as no one sets up a stall introducing a 'money money money' atmosphere, it cant help but work.

I was thinking the same thing. Let's put our minds to it. Where's a good spot for it? Needs plenty of parking, near where the cars live and a decent cafe.

My girlfriend has an auntie that lives in Gawler, and I have twice driven past the munno parra shopping centre (after making sure the doors were locked etc) and seen something like this happening in the mcdonalds car park with hot rods and toranas etc.

As for spots to have a cafe rather than mcdonalds event, Im thinking hard for parking
Is the idea you get the cafe owner to approve this as well?

Mount lofty is ok but the cafe is a bit far from the cars,  and the locations a bit far from the city.

Newton Target shopping centre has pane di casa and a couple of other places on the other edge of the carpark
might be a bit out of the way for some

It needs to be in an upmarket suburb if you want upmarket cars.
