As long as the grog industry controls the Govt nothing will change.

You cant drive over .05 but you can wander the streets out of your brain.

Was watching something the other night about some castle Henry the 8th built, and during tough times, the rations back then allowed for no more than 8 pints of beer a day.

Point is, it's nothing new, don't like it, don't assosiate with it.

Drinking has always been a part of our culture. But it's the consequences of binge drinking to the point of oblivion on a regular basis that's causing a growing problem in Australia.

It has escalated to the point where we now have violence and anti-social behaviour at unprecedented levels. 5 years ago no one would've had any idea what glassing was. Now it's happening regularly.

when I used to drink 20 years ago binge drinking was also a problem and so was glassing - media beat up's make this seem a lot more common than they may be.

No it gets worse otherwise you have no friends. :(

From teenage years my mates who went to Melb Uni spent every spare moment in the pub or several, that carried over into adult life...I am inspired by Barry Humphries though who gave it up I thought if Les Patterson can give up the grog so can I.
