No Shane, surprisingly there was a whole new batch of nothing all the way there. But, looking past the nothing for a minute.......once you turn off the New England Hway, by gumbo those roads are good! I know we go over this time and time again but what a stupid thing our 110k speed limits are.

I wasnt on the K..... H'way at 6.00am yesterday and I didnt sit on 150k/ph ages and ages......I didnt open it up to a cruise of 180 once on the other side of Gunnedah either...........if I had of done that, why that would be irresponsible! The New England is crap because of the truck traffic but the highways either side of it are just something else.........when I do these trips in the Range Rover, I dont bother to look for great roads but they are really everywhere.........I took the Muswellbrook bypass and how good is that road? If you spend your life on roads traversed by our freight friends, you forget what really good tarmac is all about. The runs from the New England to the coast starting north of Newcastle are just delightful as well!

Many years ago we did a run with the Ferrari Club between Grafton and Glenn Innes along the Gwyder Highway.

It’s around 160k’s with a great mix of straight and twisty roads, some good long straights, but also some 2nd gear hairpins.

Some of us may have done it in under an hour.
Why such a long face?
