So many corners, my forearms haven't been this sore since I was last single.

Awesome stuff guys...very jealous!

Shame Tassie is so far away for me, but when I get my next car (which will be more suitable) I hope I can make it over at least once!

Third trip for me, as always an absolute blast  :burnout:

Anyone who thinks of themselves as a "driver" needs their head read if they don't do one of these trips. This is the best time to go as dry roads and sparse tourist traffic make it nice and safe. In 2 summer trips, not even a "pucker moment", much less an unplanned look at the scenery.

I will be doing the summer lap every year, next time lets make it 3 days

I was sad to miss this one.  I'll definitely go next year.  Having done the May Tassie trips (2007-2010), I would love to try those brilliant roads in the dry.  I'm not going to miss out next year!

Dry roads are over rated.......damp & wet roads add a bit of added excitement around every corner :D

Glad all are back safe & sound......looking forward to our mid year trip again

You would have had a ton of fun chasing Ash in his Lotus. I was surprised at a) How quick it was and B) How bloody loud it was with the stage 2 exhaust.

You can't beat summer in Tassie

I love a wet race track; but roads leave little margin for error, especially roads bordered by very big trees. The very real danger with Tassie in winter isn't the rain, it's the ice.
It's almost a given that early morning in parts of the west coast (Hellyer Gorge in particular) will have ice on the roads. That isn't fun and rarely ends well  :scared:

What was the route ?
Down the west coast to Tarraleah (which was a nice overnight stop), then down to the Gordon Dam and back up the midlands to the boat home.

Only if a "said" driver brings these :)

I never noticed the dancing donkey on the side. Must have been blinded by the vibrant scuderia red hue  :p
