someone ought to point out that ANY car using special club plates or permits can only drive on officially authorised and planned club days.

anything random and casual MUST have full rego to be insured.

FYI for the EOI

The Maserati Club http://www.maserati.org.au/connexion.html has events all the time, you don't need to own a Masa, their membership covers just about every type of car ownership.
It's more about the social thing rather then what type of car you have.

Think it's $80 a year , you get their newsletter with all the events, all organised , easy, never been on one but I'm impressed by their organisation.

Maserati club is awesome... great guys doing a great job. Members are true car guys and not the cafe set.

BTW, my conveniently located shop (cnr Boundary/Governor Rds Braeside) is perfect rendezvous for SE/Mornington Peninsular drives....

plenty parking, lunch bar (closed w/ends) , BP (and shell FWIW)  fuel close, facilities etc etc

ferrarifixer - what do you do at your shop? (as obvious as the answer to that question might be based on your username...)

Good to see we are getting some solid interest. I think more will come with the days passing too.

I was thinking more along the lines that you could use the Masa club as a platform to meet  and have your own meetups within the Club having the advantage of their organisation  of events and the diversification of meeting others at the same time.

Not trying to take away from your initial idea which is great.
