I'll have to look at the export settings in picasa or whatever - some of the pics have bizarre artefacts that I didn't notice before uploading, also think I must have hit the ISO button and it went onto AUTO or something.

Love the pics, especially that first downhill shot.

Plus this one - Dave and I have a rare happy moment together when we realise that the mini windmill we fitted to the roof can power the whole car.

I'm not a fan of skid plates...

YES, they stop you from scuffing the bottom of your bumper, but if that means straining subframe/welds and bumper/mounts... why would you do that?

Because the front bar on the LP640 is carbon fibre and costs about $30K to replace.  It was already showing wear and need painting when I fitted the plates 2 years ago. It would be worn through by now without something to stop it.   I've had no problems in nearly 20,000km since fitting it.

This car isn't a cafe cruiser - it has to earn its keep.

A really skinny but tough plate...like a 1 or 2mm stainless steel plate would be better than the ever increasingly popular plastic/nylon ones.

If you can make me one that fits perfectly like my nylon one for $250, I'll buy it.  Might kevlar be better though? Thinking of weight...

Yep.....that was fun, especially with a whole tree covering Gorge Rd on a blind corner with a yellow thing up your sphincter  :D

Just around the corner from that:

I've never really loved Picasa.  I used it for a while because it is quick and easy.  But I think it too easily exaggerates the contrast and saturation of photos and they can look unnatural.  Also, the quality/clarity of exported images is far less than in PS - problems include soft edges and artifacts.  But it's good for web images because file sizes are so much smaller.
