We do several manufacturers at the motor show and i could see it coming, even though sales are up, the corporate side is still in strife and they are very tight on spending money, in the last year they have been doing a lot more drive days and sponsorships then usual, especially this year so far.

I think Ford had the right idea last year by having their display outside and focusing on a drive program to get people in cars on the 4wd track, auto-parking and rain circuit to test their cars out.

I have been buying cars without any cup holders for years, was quite disappointed when my Smart car didn't come with one standard, I had to pay extra for that, great car regardless... It was actually my second thing to look for this time around when I bought the 695, i scored 4 (not exactly sure what i can put in them as they are quite shallow and small).

I would expect that to be included FOC, especially a 40 dollars item when you buy a 20k+ car... It is not about the dollar value as you mentioned...

I remember going to the Melbourne Motor show as a kid and drooling over cars like the Bertone Navajo,Pinninfarina Modulo and even 007's Lotus Esprit "submarine " car.........great days and what started my love for exotics and Italian Wogboxes in particular!


You can't do that with the Net thing......

I sat in the Ferrari Modulo when it was here. I was a somebody back then. *sigh*. things change :)
