So what is the deal with taking photos at this circuit and at Events O'Neill trackdays? I have noticed that nobody wanders outside the pit area. Does JPM Photographics have sole rights to shoot around the track on these days? When I attend is there any chance of me signing a disclaimer to take shots away from the pits?

I think you're only allowed within that area (anyone for that matter, not just for photo's)

Yes JPM has the exclusive for the track, especially when it comes to selling prints.  My photos do get included in the official Events O'Neill newsletter, and occasionally onto their website homepage, but I can't officially go selling my work.

As for moving around, the official line for me is "don't go through any closed gates".  So in theory I could be shooting from any spectator point as well.

But of course since I'm also driving at the event, that's not easy to fit in.
