That doesn't mean there's any power difference.

Tell us, in your wisdom, which feature of a USA ecu, as opposed to a UK spec, an Aussie spec 355 may require?

I'll answer for you...

its emissions.... less aggressive ignition/fuel maps.

So why wouldn't it be different, then?

If it's exactly the same, why a different ECU?

errr...source?

I'd like to see something that shows different power for US and UK 355s. In all my years of looking I've NEVER seen that mentioned anywhere until just now, which isn't to say you're wrong, but I'd like proof.

Sure, in the OLD days that was the case, but with a 355? Never EVER heard that before.

I didn't take a pic, but look in any aussie 355 (non challenge), and the ecu is stamped USA.

Maybe they're dyslexic.

But its definitely not stamped UK, or AUS.

Then, you just need to drive both variants, lots, to perceive the throttle response and snappyness of the engines.

Edit, actually, I'll reverse a little bit here... This applies to 5.2 motronic cars, I'm not sure about 2.7 cars with twin ecus, not sure if they have USA or not.
