anyway....you'll never agree as long as you have a source in the UK who gives you commission for cars they sell through you, and as long as you're going to be bringing in cars from there, you're never going to admit the negative aspect of non aussie cars v aussie spec cars. as usual feathering your nest is more important than giving accurate and sound advice.

ok, firstly, if you don't know already, you will soon.... and when you do, ask him (or her) how much I charged them!

secondly.... there are negatives of course.... it the car is rusty, it is not good.

if it's not rusty, and there are a large % that are not, then it's as good as an aussie car, or better, in mnay cases.

it's all about the rust....

luckily, they're all made in italy

and luckily again, there's a large % of buyers that are expats/poms etc (I've never  had an aboriginal customer yet), and don't give a rats about the aussie spec thing.

what?

you should change your handle to 'riddler'

anyway....you're wrong.

cars like a GT4 have a small enough market already....so to alienate most of the potential purchasers on top of that, if you have a choice, is lunacy!

i KNOW some people wouldn't buy my 328 cos it's a non aussie spec....but there was no choice for me.

an aussie spec GT4 will sell 10 times over compared to a non aussie...it's just how it is.....and logic has nothing to do with it.

but like I said, as long as you have your contacts and the ability to make money with UK cars (doesn't matter how much), I wouldn't expect you to argue anything else.

I love my car. Buy your own

there's not much need to argue....

what sparked this discussion is that you priced your car at $60k

now, I think that most people would happily buy an identical/similar/same car for $40k, from uk

especially if it has the advantages of single dizzy and electronic ign..

PROVIDING it has no rust... of course.

saving $20k, 50% in this case, is not to be sniffed at

look...I don't know if i just don't write well, or if you have a serious comprehension problem, but I'll try again.

MOST people wouldn't buy a non aussie spec GT4 at any price. so, i'd rather pay a higher price for a good aussie spec GT4 knowing I can easily sell it (it'll only be a matter of for how much) than be stuck with a car that most people won't want, and if they do, and who knows how long that would take, they'll want it for nothing.

I don't think anyone's ever argued against getting the best car you can with your money. 'best' covers all sort of things...including, IMO, future saleability.

I've been stuck with two non aussie spec cars in my time....the second time i should have known better. now i do. never again will i buy a car that is non aussie spec if it was sold here as new.

that's my opinion...that's my experience and that's my advice.

I love my car. Buy your own

well, it depends how you price it....

if you price the uk car at aussie prices... it won't sell so quick.... durrrr

Description   The Bertone designed 308 GT4 was Ferrari¿s first production 8 cylinder car.
This mid-engined V8 Ferrari with its 4 Webers, is a 2+2 coupe and features the typical ¿wedge¿ shape styling of the period. It is an excellent example of the model, which has been very well maintained throughout its life.

In striking yellow with a fine black interior, the vehicle presents stunningly and is a very useable car with factory air-conditioning and sun-roof, with everything in good order throughout, including its cromodora wheels.

A lovely original and nmolested car this is another fine example of how the Dino became a real Ferrari.

I think that VIN is a LHD converted car, and therefore the line "locally delivered" should be taken with a grain of salt.

Of course, it has been locally delivered mind you, but when?
