The article said the factory have previously restored it to original....

So, is it restored, or original? :tilt:

Journos.... Always wrong, and paid for it, I just don't get it......

I saw 6 different GTOs while working at DK. The stories and buried facts about some of the are eye watering.

Carbon dating of chassis and components is an absolute must for anyone seeking a truly original car.

It's restored........................over and over ;)

I bet DK was behind half the stories  :scratchchin:

And FWIW, Dk is just one of around a dozen places that could tell some juicy stories.

Now, 12 years after I was there, times have changed.... There are NO parts that haven't been re-manufactured.

So I saw more than triple that last year and indicative of your superior knowledge to everybody, the car that won the GTO class at Pebble Beach was a truly original car.  Oh wait.  :rolleyes: :doh:

your seeing, and my seeing are not even close to the same.

When I say "saw" in relation to my time in the DK workshop, it means I didn't work on, but had intimate knowledge of what was done to them.

I've worked on 4 different GTOs.... The moss/surtees green, the silver with yellow strip, and two red ones... I didn't note chassis no.s then.


So, again, your parasitic annoyance of them, is not comparable to my involvement.

Well then this shouldn't be a hard question for you then with your "intimate knowledge" of 250 GTO's, understanding of the Pebble Beach Concours' judging criteria and interpretation of 'original'.

Why did LP's GTO win the 250 GTO class at Pebble Beach last year?
