I heard from Shannons about my windscreen claim.

To recap, the old screen, which had a crack in it, needed to be replaced. However, whoever had installed it previously used some sort of solid glue, necessitating grinding/cutting the old windscreen out and, in the process, slightly damaging the surround trim and sending ground glass everywhere, despite the best efforts. There was glass inside, engine bay, suspension, all around the headlights etc etc etc. What should have been a quick and easy job turned into a nightmare costing over $2k, including all the cleaning up and repairing the trim.

Anyway, Shannons approved the full claim and paid with a direct deposit into my bank account. Good for them. Great service and a quick result. All this with no excess and no effect on my no claim bonus.

Thanks, Shannons.

All my policies are due next week with them. After hearing that story I don't think I will bother shopping around.

Did they request all the information first before the job, or were given info after?

Nope...just sent them the invoices with an explanation. They had no prior knowledge.

Same...my renewal is due....no questions asked by me! As long as the price is competitive, they have me hooked.
