I went to black stallion today to reconfirm something else, but also to see the aftermath of my Windscreen disaster.

I'm grateful to black stallion and prestige Pete for making it as painless as possible. Highly recommended.

All this over an 8" crack! Ferraris are never easy!

What happened? What disaster?

You haven't said anything about it before? Or did I miss it?

Sincerely, bad luck. I know how much you like that car.

No. Why? Is it something I should know?

OK. I have no interest to be honest. I'm not much of a historian. If that was the case, I'm glad they changed it.

So anyway, I got a big crack in my windscreen. No big deal. Took the car to Black Stallion for a couple of little jobs, so organised with Prestige Pete to replace the screen while it was there. Just a routine job....USUALLY.

The last wally who'd installed the windscreen used the wrong glue. It was set in place for life! Peter had to grind out the old screen, and it was a huge job...made a terrible mess of everything and there was some unavoidable damage to the windscreen surround. Peter and Tim were great, ringing me every once in a while to report on progress.

Much to my dismay and joy, and I have no idea how he managed it, there was not one single scratch or blemish to the paint.

Anyway, the surround was sent away for repair, and the new screen has been installed. I suspect that next time, it'll be much easier to change.

To the guy who installed it last time.....thanks for nothing! Moral of the story is, use an experienced professional to change your windscreen!
