Aircon - could you share a few thoughts on the 308 vs the 355. I've had a 355 (which I loved till it combusted), a 360 which was love and hate, and a 456 which I love when I see it between it's constant need for garage time.

I could see a 308 in the garage, but have heard few opinions on them from anyone who's had a more recent model...

If you've got the $, maybe a Dino would be better.

Dino has no cambelts, so theres that silly age thing gone, it's ONLY mileage that dictates major service jobs...

Dinos are essentially a 308 under the skin, just a little less powerful.

But a fair bit lighter, not much slower at all, much roomier and lighter/less claustrophobic inside.

The only negative with a Dino in usability is the rarity of aircon.... there are a few out there, but not many, and those that have it are not that great.

But if you can live without aircon (poor Tiki), and have the $$, then a Dino would make a very smart investment too.... IF YOU BUY A GOOD ONE......

Yes, Steve Ellett. He has sold all sorts of stuff over the years, I don't think it makes any difference to him to be honest.
Great bloke, very funny after a few beers.

Agree 100%.....just one of the characters of that period!

Do you know Mike Barker,Didier Moran or Austin King?

Identical to the one that I owned back in the day.
I only had it for 6 months, bought it cheap because it was blue, sold it when I was offered more than I paid by the same dealer- because he had a buyer that HAD to have blue
Then the buyer crashed it at Sandown and repainted it resale red
