Very common fault for these models, is suspension warning light on.

There can be several reasons for this, but as often as not it's mechanical rather than electrical.

You don't need diagnostic tool to find out, just pop them off and have a look.

On 550 rear this is not entirely easy, but not that hard either.

They are quite fragile and rough handling by mechanics (real or pretend) needs to be reduced.

Most likely in my experience, is just a "reset". Just remove, cycle ignition whilst removed, set shock to mid way, and refit. This is often enough.

But often, something is broken. It could be the adjuster gear, which us a tiny die cast splined nut, or it could be the actuator drive key, which is a plastic t piece with splines to suit the adjuster gear.

Today, I had both on same car.

The adjuster gear is available reproduced in alloy, which is great. I thought the actuator t piece was too, but I couldn't find any. Luckily I managed to remove one from an electrically dead actuator, so fixed this car same day.

Not really, but it is good news for the appreciative owner/new customer.
