Hey this is my first post on here, but not my first post on a car forum.

I am looking to buy a 360 F1 in the next couple of days (or atleast test drive one i want to buy). Anyway what problems should I look out for in a test drive?
I hear the clutches arn't too long lasting so how much do they cost to first buy and then install.

ANy help would be appreciated

Can I ask why choose the clutch to be concerned about?

Any Ferrari has multiple potential expensive problems... what's with the concern over the clutch? It's a consumable item.

A set of brakes bought and installed at the main dealer will cost much more than a clutch job.

well this thread failed quickly since no one decided to read my post properly, I did also ask what other problems I should look out for. And what is a rough clutch change going to cost from the dealers, are we talking a couple of grand, 5, 10, 20k????

I know its a consumable, just because i'm looking for info on a ferrari doesn't mean i'm completely helpless like most of the ferrari owners around the forum, I have built my skyline mostly by myself and with a mate to out run almost any ferrari model ever brought to OZ so i'm not a motoring virgin.

Am i going to get help on this forum or smart ass remarks?

Ok.... trawl around a while and read a few threads...

in summary..

allow 80% of your available budget for the actual car purchase.... save the 20% for maintenance.

So, if' you've got ~$180k to buy a car, you're shopping in the $140K's...

otherwise, you'll get a surprise that'll make you resent your ownership.

what should i look out for, like what are common probs that you  come across? Because i'd still try and reduce the risk of picking up a lemon if i could get a heads up. Ive used the search function on the thread but as i said, i'm new to this forum

yes, the search function here does suck....

Most of the 360 problems are under the skin, YOU won't see many of them.

Things YOU'LL see/notice are sticky interior parts, front damage from grounding, sloppy transmission mounts/clutch adjustment, poor window closing alignment,

an inspection takes a while to do, as you need to pull the floors off etc to get to all the important bit. Expect to pay for around 3 to 5 hours for a good inspection by someone that knows what they're looking at.

Look, don't be so bloody impatient. You may not get an answer straight away but sooner or later someone will come by and answer your questions.

If you don't like smart arse replies and some shit stirring then you are in for a nasty shock.




And take note of what FF has said - you will need to factor in at least 20% or your experience of ownership will be Roo named Ted right from the start. Also do not expect to get a pristine car no matter what anyone says.

And FFS go and get a PPI before signing anything!!!!!!!
