Leaked! Ferrari 458 Italia European Pricing Revealed

A pair of European pricing schedules for the upcoming 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia have leaked on the Web and as expected, the newest Italian Stallion isn't cheap.

According to one of the unofficial sheets, the car will retail for 162,900 euros sans taxes in Europe or around $239,066 using today's exchange rate. In the U.K., pricing begins at $236,898 without taxes, but with the VAT fees added, the base price jumps to $278,355.

The other leaked pricing sheet indicates that Dutch customers will find a base price tag of 169,900 euros as well, but another 108,222 euros in government taxes will be tacked on for a grand total starting price of 271,122 euro or $397,889. Yes, it's a pain on the wallet to own an exotic car in Holland.

As you can imagine, most of the entry-level Ferrari's listed option prices are staggering to most non-millionaires. Fancy a Racing livery? Cha-ching. Add around $8233 to the European sticker. How about a white tachometer and not a standard yellow or red one? It'll cost you another $807. Luggage for your weekend excursions? That'll be $5723 please.

Using the U.K.'s supposed price, the 458 Italia will cost around $23,355 more than the current $255,000 F430 coupe, if these prices indeed are true. Considering the 458's bevy of newer, more promising racing-derived performance technologies, and its sumptuous, dare we say, passionate, classic Pininfarina design, it'll likely be all worth it in the minds of prospective buyers.
