Anyone know braking distances in meters for a 458 at different speeds.

Or an equivalent car like a 650s for that matter.

300-0
250-0
200-0

And so on. I've tried looking but haven't found the answers.

This is of course purely for knowledge reasons.....

All I could find was 100-0 kmh braking distance of 31.0 metres, presumably under ideal conditions.

Anybody good at maths:

http://www.amsi.org.au/teacher_modules/pdfs/Maths_delivers/Braking5.pdf

Formula seems to be:

In summary:
A 10% increase in the speed causes a 21% increase in the stopping distance.
A 20% increase in the speed causes a 44% increase in the stopping distance.
An a% increase in the speed causes a 􏰆2a + a2/100 􏰇% increase in the stopping distance.

Calculator:

http://www.random-science-tools.com/physics/stopping-distance.htm

300km/h = 585 mtrs
200km/h = 272 mtrs
100 km/h = 77 mtrs vs Ferraris figure of 31 mtrs

So as a guide maybe 500 mtrs required to brake from 300 km/h in a Speciale ??

So will it do 300kph down the straight at PI?
May the Horse be with you....
