I'm going to call NSW RTA tomorrow to check a few things out, will see what they have to say.

Maybe it's a left hand drive MR2 with new clothes after all?

The new club register arrived in the mail today. Only 10 512 TR's listed and yours isn't one of them. Very strange indeed.

How do some of the others listed compare against this registry?

edit: my god, why not just write "Rosso Corsa" at the top and then write one big DITTO down the rest of the page

but surely they're only the cars that at some stage were owned by someone who was a club member, right?

At one stage it had known Australian delivered cars, regardless of FCA membership. The owner was listed as "unknown" if it wasn't an FCA member. The importers used to supply a list of S/N's that came into the country via official channels.

Repairs.

The front bumper and boot floor got damaged. The importer here tried to fix it, but it wasn't right, so it went to Maranello UK to be done right.

Got records and invoices showing parts used. No big deal at all. Trying to get the photos too.
