The difference is enormous.

Shell is junk compared to BP.

I've tested it in several cars. I get between 7 and 12% better economy using BP 98 instead of Shell 98.

OK thats enough for me, I'll make the change ;)

Bull shit.

Its worlds apart.

My wifes voyager gets down to 9l/100km on it. Shell never gets under 10 and usually 11 to 13.

My Getz gets in the 5s, while its high 6s and 7s on shell.

TR went an extra 40 to 50km on a tank

My 348 even liked it :tilt:

Shell has crap shelf life. I'm sure if you could burn it within a week of it being refined its fine.

But a few weeks, or worse, months, of storage and it loses so much octane compared to BP.

i know of 2 cars that were started on shell fuel after periods of storage (old fuel) and both cars holed pistons.

Sounds like they're STILL all tests by you, but I note that now you're stating a whole lot of provisos as well. So at best, it's a maybe?

Do you have any scietific data to back up your octane claims or is it just opinon again?

Several engine dyno guys have shown me data.

And my tests are valid, over huge distances.

what was the servo we filled the 575 up just before the west gate bridge......shell and it went all the way adel on one tank.

took same car to Thredbo, filled in adel on BP, got the same distance in km, the ml55 loves BP over shell but then it also loves Iraqi oil
Meeting women on the Internet? Remember, the more similarities u “magically” have, & the more she agrees with u, the fucking crazier she is.

I've also scene Caltex figures vs Shell, same car ,same dyno, same day ,same test.
Caltex came out on top as per readings and litres per 100k

Really? The engine dyno guys did octane analysis?? Incredible skill and knowledge obviously.

I've never actually seen a dyno place with a laboratory attached to it. Now that I think about it, I don't remember too many scientists doing dyno work.
