I'd actually be surprised if Carl was involved in the selling of this 308, since it's not here.

He bought a glass car last year, I don't think he's selling it though.

Maybe phil's confused or something.

Correct, not selling, nor advocating.

Back to the 308.  It's odd to be offering a RHD 308 in a predominantly LHD market.  I would have though the market for that car would be here, or at a pinch, the UK.  But the British wouldn't want an Australian wet sump car over a local dry sump version, unless the buyers priorities were the claimed low mileage and subsequent originality.

The advert shows British plates.

Car may be in UK, just brokered by a Euro

That's how it began for me.

A guy says " do you know of such and such for sale"

And I do

He buys the car.

He's very happy and grateful.

He puts money in my account without being asked or prompted, as a thank you.

What do you call it in accounting? It's not commission, it's not tax free though.

It's advocacy, like it or not. It's also advocacy whether or not anyone pays anyone.

UK buyers are far less fussy over origin than the silly Aussie market.

There's at least 6 Aussie 308s in UK. Maybe many more.

Is anywhere else as anal about local delivery as we are, I wonder?

What you fail to realise, is that the huge number of ex pats here are more than happy to buy imports. Even prefer them.

Who'd want an Aussie 308 based on spec? Nobody. As soon as origin in passed over, it's UK all the way...
