I'd actually be surprised if Carl was involved in the selling of this 308, since it's not here.

He bought a glass car last year, I don't think he's selling it though.

Maybe phil's confused or something.

I love my car. Buy your own

You're jumping to conclusions from incorrect assumptions, again.

Carl's texts were nothing to do with this 308.

Only the person or entity that paid the import taxes etc on the ORIGINAL sale of the car can claim a credit for those taxes if the car were to be reimported at some point. Typical "double dipping" on taxes by the Australian Government

This of course means that if the car becomes worth a bazillion dollars 50 years after the first sale, the original owner is likely dead and the taxes will always have to be paid on reimportation. Hence so few of our big dollar collector cars ever come back once they leave our shores.

Even that's not right anymore.

When I 're imported my 512 TR (with luggage), I contacted the original owner to pursue this.

I can't remember the exact specifics, but because more than X years had passed, even he couldn't get it back in tax free.

Absolutely double dipping.

So is your assumption.

As an aside, but back to a previous topic, even if your ambiguous post was true, it's not the same as being the "in between" with the sale of a car you work on from one customer to another.

I love my car. Buy your own

Must have been a fairly recent change if that is in fact correct.

That reminds me, I forgot to respond to some of your nonsense from last week.

Just had a few texts from Carl, he's doing some advocacy it seems... Could be a good car for him to sell?

Can't say I am.  I received a txt from someone wanting a 512TR and they asked about the "The grey one"

I thought I'd do the right thing, and check that you weren't representing the car first :)

I don't sell cars, I just hoard them.  Currently buying Lancia Flavia and Flaminia models.
