Dealer called friday and said they want the car spec'd Tuesday!!!
i havent even seen a price list let alone an options list.

someone at the factory panicking to get orders in perhaps?

Whilst im prepared to move the F430 on, the replacement 430 is close and the LP560 is bloody tempting, let alone the looming "bargains" in this neck of the woods for slightly used cars

some angles n the california are great, others make it look like a ladies drive.
mhh - you said in real life it was much better than the pics?

what colour was the car you saw in person?

I saw a red one and a blue.  Both looked good.  Here's the thread on Fchat with my pics and impressions.

I liked the look of it but I'm more curious to see what the F430 replacement is like.

The blue with the cream is probably the best choice to flatter the shape.  It will be a great car by all accounts.  It may not be as low and lean as an F430 but it looks better than an MB SL - it is a good looking car, especially with the roof up (rare to find a good folding hardtop that looks good up).

that might work out then
dont need low and lean especially when i reckon the game has moved on from the F430.
cars like the R8 have taken balance and dynamics to another level.

i really enjoy having a drop top and if itsnt the california, id be keeping the F430 period; or waiting for an LP560 roadster:

i wouldnt buy an SL63; AM db9 volante - been there, Bentley CGT (love the coupe, convertible looked like a boat).

if you waited for the f430 replacement, you would probably wait 2 years before it hits Aus...  assuming it gets released this year.
the california looks to be a pretty versitile car. not sure if i like the styling. will wait till i see one in person.

They put a CGI model into the softwares' lighting studio and through colours at it until they've identified what works best with a body shape.

I did the same process with my F430 model and came to much the same result as the California.

Funnily enough resale red isn't one of the better ones. It obscures sharp lines and other detail.
