Still keen on these for the 458 project?

They'd certainly look slick... though any time I read about a product with a 'specially supplied wrench' - I think about how quickly I'll lose the bespoke tool

I'm going down the centre nut conversion path, just not sure about the wheels? BBS is my preferred option.  I wonder what mhh gets in his tool kit, the first shots the Speciale all had a single nut now the pictures you see are five nut wheels?

same ,I always think of the amount of torque needed to tighten 'em up or the need to carry a torque wrench and adapter bar.

The old cars with spin on ,easy just belt them with a copper hammer till tight.

Doing this conversion,would have ADR issues?

When the 1st 997 GT3's were announced i ordered one and asked for center lock nut and was told NO ie ADR,even though the Cup cars had them.
Cancelled the order when the price quoted  and the true price 2 years down the track was out by over 35k.

Until you miss the knock on and hit the aluminium valve stem and snap it off!

i was taught years ago how to do it properly. here i am about to have a practice...circa 1962.

A knock on is cheap,that's why i always belt the hell out of 'em and in the norm tighten 'em up by rotating the wheel as you tighten up.

Yes, but see how far the knock on sticks out on those skinny wires.

true,i had the wheels of the BB once and yes it needed care,once again spun them on by hand and tap tap and then whack and with the wheel in the air.
Never worried me as I've changed hundreds of wheels over the years with the racing.

The old jag,good thing on the front the bonnet lifts in full.
