If I plate them, they are the same as in the superformance photo.

if I paint them, I use a satin GOLD paint, that is not shiny. it's dull, like CAD plate.

And If you mean Trents car... Look more closely... one front is plated, the other is painted. And he knows the reasons..... as I said... piston seal channel failed on one due to nitrogen enbrittlement caused during extended cleaning to remove rust prior to plating... And I've experienced and heard of other bleed screws threads striiping out due to the thread crumbling away.

Pick a new subject. i've got you beat here.

Ok, here's one I want feedback from Oz on...

Dino's never had any Ferrari badges on them...

BUT, I am TOLD that ALL Dino's bought into the country and sold through the dealer had "Ferrari" scripts fitted to the rear once they were here...

SO, is it original to have Ferrari script on or not?

I have no excuses. I have explanation and reason.

The piston seal channel failed on me in the workshop. I bled the brakes etc, and pressure tested while wheels were off. Put the wheels on, then drove it in the shop towards the door to go out for maiden test drive.... . Brake tested IN the shop... and one failed.

My experience outweighs your bullshit 20 to 1.

Give it up. You're wrong, SO wrong.

hehehe...you said 'maiden' but you spelt it wrongly.

phil...sweetheart....you got called out by Ian.....you've been coming up with bullshit excuses and lies ever since.

i saw the original colour of a dino 246 caliper TODAY, completely unmarked and original, and the only 'gold' was a very slight tinge, and you had to hold it the right way to see it.

i'm afraid you're wrong...again.

i can understand you being so defensive, though. if your customers knew, they wouldn't be too happy with you, would they?

^ funny 'ow you had a conversation with Carl today...a round 9.15am?.. I heard it, as I was with Carl...

and he said EXACTLY what I've said all along.

Ian called me out did he?... where? All he said was that calipers get painted by some people, which is correct. i do it on some occasions, but not all.

Brett's calipers were not too rusty, so are sitting on the shelf all reconditioned awaiting the body to come back... and they're GOLD GOLD GOLD.

So, now that carl has backed up what i said, word for word without prompt...

What have you got to say...?

You could start with Sorry.

Then include "Phil was right" on your way to concluding with "maybe I(you) should get a hobby and fuck off and leave the internet alone for a while"

^^^

Hey, you don't get if you don't ask

you are right...he said "they have a gold tinge"....but they are not gold!

i guess when you've had people pay you so much money for painting their calipers, you have to keep fighting the fight...but you're wrong.

good response...and i'm still right...i even had ANOTHER look today...desperately trying to find a real gold in the colour.

there's a slight tinge and that's it.

anyway....i know it....Ian knows it....and soon, trent will know it too.

hopefully brett finds out before you wreck his too, if it's not too late.
