Aside from a personal import which requires 12 months of o/s ownership there is the option of a SEVS/RAWS import.  Modena Imports will compliance a 360 for $23-25k and a 348 (for me) for $15,400.

That would approximate to $153k for a 50,000 pound 360

or $72,000 for a 25k 348 (including the $1500 container fee and a $500 steaming).

Thanks for the advice ferrarifixer, the 348 is my preference.  In my case I am hoping to include a trip to the UK to visit friends, relatives and ferrari dealers.  I am also assuming the sub-frame introduced in the 348 is what makes it so much easier to service than a 308 and is less complex than a 355 (for that read fewer things to go wrong).

Here is the price list, I just noticed at the very end: http://www.modenaimports.com/Pricelist..pdf

All compliancing subject to parts, labor and GST. So a 360 compliance costs wouldn't be 23-25k more like ~35k

50kgbp car is more like 165-170k regoed to be realistic. No cheap ferrari, but much more to choose from overseas and for the money its like buying a 220k equivalent car here, so there is still money saved imo. Although anyone that has imported from the uk, recommend a uk broker/agent to handle all the paper work to get the car on a boat to Oz?

I am not sure what import duties are like down there, but the 360's here in the US have really gone down in price. It might be something worth looking into...

We're right hand drive here. Can be converted of course, but it's not a nice option.

Plus, US cars are horribly hamstrung with weight and emission and safety features... yuk yuk yuk.
