I went to visit Carl today for lunch, then went back to his workshop afterwards.

He had a lovely Lamborghini Jarama there for some work. I haven't seen this one before. Original Champagne colour....very nice and quite original.

Also, he was rebuilding some distributors (see photo). What crap! The interstate owner is a stickler for originality and I was watching Carl calibrate the advance curve on his distributor tester. Very nice watching how it's done, but from experience, I know it's just a waste of time and money, because they go out of calibration in no time, and when there are two distributors, like with an aussie 308, it's even worse because they go out of calibration at a different rate and a different way!

I'm so glad I don't have that rubbish to contend with any more.

I remember the two distributors I had in my GT4 were up to 8 degrees different at one particular speed. I ditched them on that car too.

It's only carbie 308s that have distrubtors.

The Injected ones are all crank triggered, which is the best.

Aircon, is your modified system crank triggered?

Thought so.....

Classic context twist and selective quoting... Love it when you undermine your own credibility.....

But only carbie 308s have distrubulators.

It's still not a grammatical error, just a typo.

No.....lots of Ferraris have them. Why are you arguing? because you want a thread locked again? I thought it was quite an interesting day and observation.
