an F50 clutch is very easy, and light, as are all of the cars mentioned actually.

The only real bastard is a 365 Boxer, but a 512 is fine.

Hmmm billybone, seems like you go to F1 Technical website too.
I understand your concerns........I was 15 years old when I went to the 1985 Adelaide GP and I vividly remember being blown away by the sound and specticle of the turbo cars-one memory that still lingers of that time is seeing the Brabham-BMW BT54 blasting down Brabham straight and then hearing the rattling hiss of the wastegate and flames shooting out of its exhausts when braking at the end of the straight. I have s soft for the  Lotus Esprit Turbo, just because it's 4 cylinder turbo apes the same sound of that M12 BMW turbo on the over-run.
Maybe thats why I don't fear the advent of the new turbo era. I've seen it,felt it and loved it. But then again, maybe you shouldn't re-visit your ex-girlfriends.

Really? The earliest model Iíve ever driven is a 308GT4 and man did I struggle with the clutch?  Admittedly it isnít hydraulic but still I felt like I had to take a run off just to change gear?  :p I just assumed which I know I shouldnít that the F40 and F50 would be heavy and stiff being both race bred and all, I must admit also the 512 tr is a very underrated car, theyíve got to be appreciating in value by now, being the last of the mid engine 12ís and what a classic era, the flat 12ís? Speaking of 365ís, lately Iíve re kindled my love for the Daytona thanks to re-runs of Miami vice on fox!  Gotta love the suits!

Im usually on their website reading the new news both on and off the track not that im a mrs mangle or anything?  :p I remember I received an award in the 6th grade with a book called ď how it works-Racing carsĒ by Ian Graham ( Iíve still got it) which was the very basic ins and outs of F1 and from then on.. that was it.. now iím 32. My first grand prix was @Adelaide in 95, Iíve still got the shirt I bought with the Ferrari F1 car at the back of it saying 1995 adelaide grand prix and at the bottom ďArrivederci!Ē.  Interesting you went to the first grand prix and I went to the last and I could only imagine how they would have sounded turbocharged, actually come to think of it? hearing their wastegates open would of been something else,  if they had reverted back to a 1.5 v6 turbocharged engine?, Iím confident it would have been done for the right reasons, no matter how fast technology has taken us, I mean weíve already proven that..

Bernie Eccelstone is a man who wears many colours, either you love him or you hate him,  his vision is either in black or white thereís no grey area. Personally, i think his a genius, Top Gear reckon he looks like a middle aged lesbian ( which is true) but he managed to turn a sport into a multi- billion dollar empire and it was his idea for Pirelli to produce a tyre with such early and rapid degradation. This in return brings far more enjoyment to the sport, F1 is a big business and this move is a form of entertainment, itís exciting to see far more pit stops, it makes the predictable into a guessing game and to see the teams picking each otherís next  strategic move based on what to expect next, is the fastest game of chess youíll see in just over a hour.On average theyíve been designed (on purpose of course) to last not even a third of the race distance before being changed in theory that is. But they do have this falling off the cliff life span and when they do thereís no bringing them back hence the much slower than expected lap times. For example with Vettel in Monaco, his tyres had three laps to go before they were absolutely shot just before the safety car came out for the last time with 6 laps to go, he was lucky..
