That's actually a bit hard to believe...but there you have it.

"Same driver is quicker in the 458 than the F12 at Leguna Seca. He reckons that Ferrari have talked up the lap times on the F12."

Not really hard to believe. Just confirms again that mid engine cars are superior to front engine cars.
They look better, AND go better.

Got a link to that one? The HP difference is massive!...although I guess that would only help up the hill and the short straight....the rest of the time you have the burden of an extra 2 or 300kg with the F12

I love my car. Buy your own

An F12 can do over 300 on the straight at eastern creek.

That's too fast , yes, for most drivers not all, but most drivers can't deal with it.

The extra speed exponentially reduces your ability to stop and amplifies exponentially your mis judgement of WHEN to start stopping.

They're too fast.... For most people.

That applies to any performance car.  F12 owners are likely to have some experience with fast cars. If a car is capable of enormous speed, all you need to do to be safe is to press less hard on the right hand pedal.

to quote the british boofhead

'Speed doesn't kill. It's the sudden stopping that does it.'

Agreed.

It's not as if the car just guns it full throttle by itself... The car ONLY does what the idiot behind the wheel tells it to do...
You can say I'm wrong, but my garage doesn't agree with that statement!!!

Ill weigh in on the too fast thing here too.

After seeing a video of a yellow F12 hooning around Monaco and France, i too thought that finally cars had become too fast.

While yes, its all down to the driver to exercise control, i think we all agree.

but i think now that such immense performance is available straight out of the box idiots will be idiots and a car this fast just lets them be significanly more dangerous in the process

Seeing the F12 in action makes me want one but, unlike mid-engined Ferraris (and Porsches etc), it is hard to use them as the maker intended living in Adelaide.  I'd still like one though.

Range Road would be good though.
