can the spoiler be fitted and removed easily or does it requite permenant fixture?

and further.... why knock back the development and feedback and experience gained...

Why have a car and run it down specced from the final spec the factory gave it...??

What are you trying to achieve...?

There are many wings which are ugly and inappropriate, but the 355C is not one...

Indeed, the Maserati trofeo and 2000 360 N-GT had exactly the same wing... it works well and is attractive in the eyes of many.

Of course, final decision rests with the driver, but 'I' wouldn't want to own a 355C if it didn't have all the latest spec parts with it.

I'd put the a/c on it, and drive it in it's fastest possible spec on the road.

I'd replace the shocks though, and use something better that's consistent in its operation and has at least 2 way adjustment. The std shocks are simply very old technology, and potentially dangerous when not used correctly... like running very stiff springs without the correct level of damping.

It takes just a couple of minutes to do once installed initially.

But it leaves some unsightly holes in the panel.

Why bother running sticky R spec tyres if you'd happily throw away the grip the wing gives you?

If you don't want grip, drive to the limit of normal road tyres. No :der:

Of course, if you want to avoid the attention the wing attracts.... keep away from the cafe strip :tilt:
(or don't even buy a ferrari in the first place)

sorry...what part of 'it's ugly' don't you understand?

R spec tyres ...let's me go faster WITHOUT making the car look ugly.

laps are timed, but i'm not racing anyone..is that too hard to understand? so, if i do a 60 second lap today and with the same spec car do a 59 tomorrow, then i've improved (track being the same etc)...but if i put on the wing and do a 58, what have i achieved? now if i was racing some other sort of car which was one second faster than me, maybe i'd want to consider making my car ugly so that i can beat it. that's hypothetical, but i've never raced my car....just lap dash...so it doesn't matter.

you like the wing? good for you. i think it's ugly and spoils one of the nicest lines of the car...the little duck tail thingy at the back.

it's ricer...full stop. even in the days when SD after he put the wing on was going through turn 1 at PI almost 30kph faster than i was after he put the wing on i STILL didn't want one.....and that was as tempting as it ever got. now, even THAT temptation's gone... my car's faster than all the others without it. i wouldn't want to make it TOO easy for myself. lol @ the others.

I love my car. Buy your own

I understand perfectly well. Your opinion is just that, and not shared by many.

IF you crash in a high speed corner, you'll quite probably hurt yourself. A wing will reduce that risk AND make you faster.... why would you try to NOT reduce risk and remain slower than your potential.

A wing is not a modification... it's a factory part designed to do the job. :der:

I'd hate to see a rice wing, but the 355C wing is nicely made and suits the car. It even works

really? the PMs i'm getting wouldn't agree with your point of view.

if i come off at turn one at PI it'll be at 190, if someone comes off with a wing it'll be at 215+. i don't see how your comment can be seen as anything other than illogical and misleading.  going as fast as i can is where i get my buzz.....not making the car faster so that it impresses the onlookers. with or without a wing i'm not going to actually WIN anythng.....so making the CAR faster (but not me) achieves what, exactly?

it doesn't suit the car. if it suited the car, then it wouldn't be ugly....and it is. functional, yes, but pretty definitely not.

your PM's are not representative of the world market for 355C.

YES, if you crash with a wing, it will most likely be from a higher speed... BUT, the likelyhood of crashing in the first place is reduced. The wing makes the car easier and safer to drive at high speeds.... of course. And arguably, more satisfying and rewarding. Your input as a driver is better translated into lap time. Without the wing, is is too easy to overstep the chassis capabilities, and you're just wasting effort from that point.

It's ugliness is just your opinion, no matter what anyone says.

I don't think it improves the look, But it doesn't detract from it either. it does make the car look more like what you'd expect bearing the name "challenge"

lol...what a crock.

i can slide and move my car around at will with it being perfectly predictable. get a little sideways with a wing and you lose a lot of downforce and off you go at high speed. you're talking rubbish. what the hell is wrong with you? clearly you've never driven a 355ch on the track...with or without a wing.

and something else, even if what you said was right, which it isn't of course, why would i want it to be easy? nope.
