imagine my surprise when i walked over to my white wheeled 355CH and found i couldn't open the driver's door! getting in and out of the passenger door got old really quickly, and having to leave the car parked outside overnight wasn't a thrill either.

anyway, a mate took off the door trim and found the door lock knob wasn't getting full travel and gave it a bit of a lube. seems to be working fine now.

i think the car sat around for too long with no use....it's only just got back to normal (things like windows etc were very slow to start with)

i can see why garage queens are a problem.

surely you mean the outer lower door panel....

to remove the door trim is unnecessary and time consuming. The lower door panel comes off in monents and allows access to almost EVERYTHING onside the door.

Great idea that one

no...took off the door trim because we wanted to make some other mods...which was done and is excellent.

now...much to my dismay....the passenger side door has locked and won't unlock or open

*sigh*

bloody garage queens.

he was wrong actually.

you can't take the internal door skin off OR the lower part of the external skin without the door being open and regardless, getting to the locking mechanism isn't practical from the external panel either, as the lock is right at the top and the external panel is only the bottom half of the door and accessing the top would be pretty much impossible.

might be ok to access window motor that way....at best.
