Howcome the "kit" never went anywhere?  (well, that I know of)

I recall 3 or 4 years ago it was basically just going to be a bolt-on $40k thing which would turn an F355 into an amazing car.

Is it just the lack of "mod scene" for exotics in Oz?

I guess it hasn't been marketed that extensively, and probably for good reason. As great as it is, the market is tiny plus the amount of time wasters just fishing for info they have no intentions of following up on is simply frustrating.

Tony "may" sell the kit if anyone particularly wants it. But the car is totally drivable with it, even for his wife.

But the car is coming in mainly to put back the standard suspension, as the restricted droop travel is not so convenient for climbing speed bumps in coles supermarket parks and he wont be drag stripping it or track daying it for the foreseeable future.

The car will be with me for a week or so. I'll demonstrate is "as is", so those with invites may or may not get to feel the suspension, depending on when they come. It's the ohlins race set up, with last evolution valve development of the TT44... the cream of the crop.. It's superbly compliant despite heavy spring rates to control pitch and roll and squat.

Most invites have gone out already.

PM if you're interested in having a look/ride... but you've got to be a potential buyer in my opinion.

i speak english....i read english....but i'm having trouble understanding what the hell you're talking about.

you either speak totaly BS or you speak in some sort of mysterious tongue that hints at things, but says nothing.

turbo kit is offered for sale, but he's not taking it off?

he's demonstrating the car and suspension, but the suspension is coming off.

is he selling the car? is he keeping the car?

are you just full of shit.............again?

Ash...just can this guy once and for all. (TM FF)

I love my car. Buy your own

Well - I've got a busy weekend planned, and I think the rest of us wouldn't mind a holiday - so you two can come back and play on Monday.

He was invited, of course. Unfortunately can't be in town at the time.

not sure why he's giving joy rides....he's got a bolt on bolt off turbo kit that's for sale but that's staying on the car, and suspension that's so good that he's taking it off the car, and a car that's not for sale because his wife will be using it,but he's demoing it anyway.

i noticed you didn't answer my question about what finally broke on that car. i guess that answer wouldn't suit you or the potential purchasers of whatever it is that isn't for sale.

hmmmmmm...interesting.

it seems with you that it's as much what you DON'T say that one needs to worry about.

sooo...phil said......

I laugh about your upselling allegations...

hey, guess what... How much do you think the Ohlins TT44 race shocks, that I allegedly (by you) upsold will re-sell for that are currently fitted to the 355 TT.....

answers...

1) Half what he bought them for
2) The same as he bought them for
3) 20% MORE than he bought them for.....

Of course, you know the correct answer, but lets see you say it!

here is my answer......

since it's obvious who the people are that you're demonstrating the car to, and at least two of them are egocentric and can't drive (going by their lap times) i would say you've upsold them into thinking, as you tried with me, that this suspension package will improve their lap times by XYZ seconds (which it won't, of course)

their egos will demand a better lap time, but because they don't see the value of improving their skill level to get the most out of what they've already got and can't see past the lap times, for them, that's what they need for a higher self esteem.

considering all of the above, and knowing the parties involved (gullible and not able to do their own research) i wouldn't be surprised if the answer to your question is 3, even though the answer should be 1.

i hope that clarifies my thoughts on the matter. thanks for asking the question. it was thought provoking.

I won't even ask how much the lap times improved with the 355TT with this new suspension....we all know the answer.

ok...

who said HE was demonstrating the car? hmmmm? he's not, He's leaving it with me, and I'll decide who rides and who drives.

He's offering the kit for sale, if it dosn't sell, it stays on.... REALLY simple that bit.

The suspension is great, so great in fact that it's now worth more than when he bought it, AND not one person that's been invited to try it has been offered it. I think I've already sold it. But it's not available in the same form anymore, and the new stuff costs over $20k!!! The Ohlins simply don't have enough travel for supermarket shopping use... as per their design intention.

Nothing finally broke.... as posted elsewhere, he missed a gear, bent 2 valves and just had it fixed. Nothing else was done. He did have issues with non genuine head gaskets being supplied, but thats all sorted now.
