Is it much different to a 360 ?
I found that like a go kart.

Pretty much the same...

Faster and feels a bit heavier, but pretty much the same as a 360, and the gearbox is very similar to later 360's as well...   458 is like nothing else though.

Although every time I mention the 360-430 comparison generally the 430 owners start to get vocal...
You can say I'm wrong, but my garage doesn't agree with that statement!!!

360 to 430 is chalk and cheese, as is 430 to 458.

Anyone unsure about whether they want or can afford a Ferrari, should buy a Porsche first.

It's only after owning a Porsche that you'll know if a Ferrari is for you.

Wattens comments are pretty much spot on.

Exhaust silencer bracket welding, exhaust manifold failure on early cars are the only real annoyances. The cars are really good, as wattens says, almost too good.

Most of their problems come from sloppy maintenance, of which the dealers are generally the worse culprits.

Aim for full specialist history if possible, and as with all Ferraris, buy one that has done most mileage most recently if you want trouble free motoring.

Ha, to be honest I don't know much about 430's and because I'm a 'car guy' I automatically am supposed to know about them!

The ferrari dealer in Adelaide was mentioning that a number of ferrari owners were porsche owners. Must be a right of passage of sorts.

It's more a character assessment.

Porschephilia can be cured. Ferrarista cannot.

I wouldn't have a clue about the old bangers but the new models of Ferraris and Porsche are great cars.  A Porsche isn't a step to a Ferrari though.  Most who like both keep both.

Those that like both, but have to keep only one, do the "sensible" thing and keep the Porsche, and pine over their lost Ferrari until they get the next one.

Simply put.

Porsches are easier to live with. Like being married to Nicole Kidman.

Vs

Ferrari which has Latino blood. Like being married to Penelope Cruiz..

Ask Tom..... He was in Risky Business at one stage and then he became known to the Rain Man.
May the Horse be with you....

Porsche is Nigella Lawson...... Will do everything superbly, in a predictable comfy way.

Ferrari is like Penelope Cruz, on lsd. Needs chaining to the bed and spanking into submission.
