I'm such a silly sausage.  I've been driving my 308 thinking I must get these brakes attended to, they feel a bit mushy. 

Sure enough I had a stuffed seal in the master cylinder. 

Just picked it up from Tim at Black Stallion Motors in Ringwood and once again I have a rock hard and consistent brake pedal. 

Reasonable price too.

What master do they use?? I am guessing they just grabbed something out of the parts bin???

Hope they used genuine parts, I have been having all sorts of issues with new masters at the moment due to them being made in China now. One batch hadn't had a small seal install when they were being put together.  :doh:


Sort of on topic, I remember when one of the rear calipers on the Mondial had issues. The rebuild kit was exactly the same as a Gemini.  :tilt:

It depends, there is a bit of mathematics when it comes to brakes.

Bore sizes, wheel cylinder sizes, what capliers are used, etc, etc.....

So if I want to improve my braking, would better pads, discs, fluid be a better choice than just a "big brake kit"
