Ah finally!  It was like a year ago when I said they would be chasing you about this.  Pathetic.

Note they also say they will be seeking damages of €1,000.

TonyF did warn you this was coming. RayS and he told me this at the rally last year that Ferrari were going to start coming down on anything related to the company and it has been mentioned in Horsepower several time.

Renschie had to adjust the logo for the rally so it didn't infringe on the company's trademark !!!

and this IS the FERRARI club ... like WTF!!!??
if you think you're faster than me you're wrong

Yes, I would have expected a letter form a lawyer, not a Domain name company Jack.

Any info you can find would be great. I can pull the site, no issue with that, but...it is my site and I registered it not Ferrari, yet it was available.

If they want every combination out there, then they should set someone on a task to register and tie up the appropriate domain names.

Maybe they can stop me using it, but I don't think they can dictate that I must hand the domain name to them.

So does this mean we can't take photos of our own Ferrari's and post them on Forums, etc????

All of the photos I have seen on uzz32soarer's site AFAIK are of owners cars, didn't see any Ferrari copyrighted photos in there?

And all the Tech stuff is uzz32soarer's own photos and words???

Load of Sh!t!!!   :irked:

but that's the point...all those photos make it quite obvious that the word ferrari is associated with the cars, not a local lawn mowing service.

not that rob would ever mow the lawn, that's suzie's job.

OK - understand.

So the part about the Forums means that they only want FChat to be used and no other Forums???

So what happens to a General Exotic car forum that has a specific Ferrari section?
Does that have to be removed if the Internet Nazi's say so???

btw, what's lawn???

good point, if they are going to shutdown Rob's site then fchat has to go or else that is discrimination !!

check the bottom of fchat page and see what it says :

FerrariChat.com has no association with Ferrari S.p.A.

therefore it is under the same rules for handing the domain name over to Ferrari  as has happened to Rob

ferrarichat.com
ferrariaustralia.com

both use that 7 letter word that it appears we cannot use!! FERRARI...there...I said it!

both run discussion forums. Both have disclaimers that they have no links to Ferrari S.p.A

one has paid subscriptions to offset running costs but we all presume operates at a 'non profit' level

mine is free obviously with no advertising or subscriptions.

I have seen a number plate reading: FERR4RI

Maybe we should be using this variation??
