Just saw a clip on the news - dark silver 360 Spider on a flatbed allegedly impounded for "hoon" stuff around Torrens Rd.  Plates were [ CC 927?? ] or something.

Hmm - I think that one was the Challenge Stradale, caught doing over 160 along Main North Rd or something - don't recall exactly.

$250,000 Ferrari seized under anti-hoon legislation
Article from: Sunday Mail (SA)

THE lead-footed owner of a $250,000 Ferrari has had his car impounded after he was allegedly travelling at nearly three times the legal speed limit.

Police seized the silver Italian sports coupe on Torrens Rd, Woodville this morning after spotting the driver allegedly speeding at up to 140km/h in a 60 zone.

The Ferrari 360 has been impounded at the Parks Police Station for seven days under the State Government's anti-hoon legislation.

A 32-year-old Croydon Park man has been charged with exceed speed and speeding dangerous.

He will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.

Police have impounded or clamped more than 3000 cars since hoon-driving laws were introduced in 2005.

Last financial year 1466 cars were taken off the road up from 791 the previous year.

``What we are doing is sending a strong and clear message to these ratbags that this Government will not tolerate their reckless behaviour, Mr Holloway said earlier this year.

``These idiots ruin people's quality of life with their dangerous, anti-social behaviour and we are hitting them where it hurts most by taking their pride and joy off the road.''

i'd have been more impressed if he'd been doing 3 x the speed limit in a 100 zone.

I love my car. Buy your own

Well - 140 is hardly particularly fast, (and nowhere near 3 times the limit) however Torrens Rd isn't really an intelligent place to try to get out of 2nd gear.
