meh.... no luggage :tilt:

Almost suggested that for the "press release", but knew that would give it away too early for the regulars around here.   :p

Italian supercar maker reveals it has six new models up its sleeve, including hypercar

The Prancing Horse is galloping into the future. Ferrari has promised a raft of new models, including a new range-topping replacement for the Enzo and a 458 Scuderia.

As part of Fiat’s plans – revealed today – the supercar firm will launch at least one new model every year, between now and 2013. A replacement for the 612 Scaglietti – currently codenamed F151 – and an open top version of the 458, which will carry the Spider tag, are due in 2011. The 612 replacement is likely to be the first Ferrari to use the hybrid technology debuted by the 599 HY-KERS concept car.

In 2012, there will be a fresh 599 GTB – currently codenamed F152 – and the new Enzo. As we have already revealed, this new hypercar is likely to get a twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which together with a lightweight carbon chassis, should leave the Bugatti Veyron trailing.

In 2013, the Maranello-based company will reveal a lightweight, more powerful 458, carrying the Scuderia badge, as well as a revised and updated California.

I remember reading that & it looks sensational but "leaving the Veyron trailing".........I just can't see that happening.

but the veyron is a few years old now, and the new enzo is still a while away. It will all depend on how technology progreses between the 2002 technology that was put into veyrons up untill a couple of years ago, or the technology of today that should make it into the 2012/13 enzo.

From 99-2005 the 360 was replaced by a much better allround car the 2005-2009 f430, now the 458 is meant to be much improved over the 430. Whos to say they can't do it? the original enzo is an awesome car, its not too far behind a veyron with the right gearing and tuning anyway and enzos arnt spring chickens anymore so if ferrari attempts a new enzo with new technology and what ever they put into their cars, then I don't think its as hard as it first sounds like.

i dunno i'm just thinking out loud, also ferrari has the know how to make a car in excess and to still make a profit, the bugatti was fast but its not sustainable with no profit being made for making them.

And one thing you forgot to mention , the Bugatti Veyron will depreciate faster than any other super car

Considering VW nearly went broke when they built the Veyron because of the exorbitant costs !
And in the end they had to resort to NASA to get it right !

Plus what Ferrari has under it's belt is F1 racing experience that's why we will always see cars like the ENZO in new form and with much more advanced technologies !

Which will filter to all other Ferrari's
