I don't know the code; but it is the same finish that was used by many manufacturers. The name I know it by is "Black Chrome" which is the name BMW gave it. HSV also used it extensively for a while there.

I had a set of 360 N-GT wheels and 360 Challenge wheels done locally in it so I know the process. The wheel is painted gloss black and then it is oversprayed with a mist of very metallic silver. This gives it a translucent finish where you can see the black base coat underneath. The light reflects off the base coat and back through the silver top coat making it really "pop".

The downside is it is horribly user unfriendly. Get a mark on it and you have to respray the entire wheel as it cant be patch repaired.

An odd question I know, but doesn't anybody know the paint code for these grey Ferrari wheels?

http://rennlist.com/forums/parts-marketplace/842296-fs-oem-ferrari-458-sport-wheels-titanium-grey-tires-caps-tpms.html

I am taking my 458 to get that exact job next week. I can ask if you like?

I just need to decide on Matt grey or gloss.

May the Horse be with you....

It might be the light those wheels were photograped in; but they don't look like straight titanium paint to me.
Might pay to do a search in the 458 forum on F-Chat as I suspect they had a few different finishes.

I don't think they are black chrome, but I could be wrong.  The colour scans on a paint computer to be a Seat (I think) wheel colour which is very close but not quite 100%.  Hence I was after the colour code.

They look cool! The matt finish on the wheels should make the duco on your car really pop.

I hope so.

At base silver they were just the wrong colour IMO.
