There could be an unwanted Boxster which someone close to me today described as a "mistake". I knew the sports exhaust wouldn't be a waste of money. ;)

but it hasnt even arrived yet  :boggled:

Is she under the misunderstanding that you can have too many cars?

She wasn't complaining. She was commenting. I said I might leave the Turbo S in Melbourne and she said, well you have a new Porsche coming in May...

Yesterday I decided to get my FD RX7 cleaned and mobile. Has been in storage at mums place for years with monthly engine starts and drives up and down the driveway to keep everything moist and working. Anyway returned it back at mums place an hour later and all I got was dirty looks. I assured her it was the same car only cleaner. She said " it looks nothing like the car that was here" She was positive I bought another car.

They are great cars and I love the sports exhaust. I'd put my hand up to say I'm interested but I'm sure you've optioned it out of my budget  :D

So in summary, non-motoring celebrity-owned cars can attract a premium over their non-celebrity owned counterparts.

no, not really, the precedent hasn't really been broken at all.

When you take time to actually look a few cars available, you'll see the whole Testarossa and TR market has moved..

Eltons Johns car sold for 49350 pounds. http://www.classics.com/eltjohn.html

Not really anything spectacular at all... certainly minimal celebrity value

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/ferrari/testarossa

Which makes the Elton John car seem to have attracted absolutley no premium whatsoever.

Hmmm... isn't that what i said would happen??????

Poor Tristan.

Once again Phil, you are wrong. There are many instances of celebrity-owned vehicles selling for premiums above their non-celebrity counterparts. If you had a clue you would know that.
